Why Yoga?

Our body is a living, evolving story of human experience. I believe yoga is a powerful way to explore and truly experience an embodied life.

About Me

Born and raised in Appalachia, I found my way to California on a life-long search for a place to call home. The way I found my way to the yoga mat is pretty common: I was feeling heavy in the heart and wanted a good workout. Yoga woke me up, welcomed me home, and unleashed a joyful love of life that was dormant in my heart. As my practice spilled off my mat and became a way of life, I became a teacher to share the gifts of this practice with others.

The Yang: I have experience teaching vinyasa classes that range from hot, sweaty power yoga to a slower, gentler pace. All my vinyasa classes move at the pace of breath with clear cues and thoughtful sequences. The Yin: I teach a blend of yin and restorative that has evolved from my personal practice (I love props!)

As a teacher, I am here to hold a safe place for you. Come to class and have the time of your life one breath, one moment at a time.
